-I am not surprised that Georges Le Chevallier has received early recognition for his talent in art. I have watched his development now for some years and he has proved to be one of the most promising candidates for a successful art career.

-An older generation of Spanish abstract painters, such as Antoni Tapies and the Cuenca school of painting, taught me the independence to use everyday objects in my paintings. Their approach of seeing the canvas as a wall, which one can build on, and physically attack, influenced me a lot. The work is about experiencing the compositions by appreciating the materials and textures for their individual qualities and characteristics.

Le Chevallier has begun working on a new series of paintings that will attempt to combine the innovation and freedom of American art with the classic art he was exposed to in Spain.

- I define music as a group of abstract sounds organized in such a way to create rhythms, which arouse the human spirit. With painting I search for visual rhythms that become music to the human eye. I want to take my art to the same level of abstract clarity as Bach did with his harpsichord music, or as Thomaso Albinoni did with his Adagio in G minor; in modern times as Charlie Parker did with his saxophone, Miles Davis and Chet Baker with their trumpets, and especially as Jimi Hendrix with his electric guitar.
